Celebrate Summer Serenade in Oak Bay, with the Fair Trade Trio. Trio members Ashley Windle (violin), Hannah Levinson (viola), and Jeanette Stenson (cello) specialize in creating accessible performances for all audiences. They have a mission to champion the works of living female composers alongside the standard chamber music repertoire. For this night’s program they commissioned Canadian composer Emily Doolittle, who composed her latest work “Field Guide” for the trio. Other pieces on the program are Beethoven’s “String Trio Op. 9, No. 3”, “Serenade in C Major, Op. 10” by Ernő Dohnányi, and “Nelson” by Molly Herron.
Friday July 21st.
The concert starts at 7 pm.
